It was during a Christmas outreach in Mai Ta Kieang Village in Lamphun that I first met Aunt K. She was sitting quietly under a bamboo tree, listening as we shared the story of Jesus. She had never heard the gospel before, never heard of Jesus but someone had invited her to the outreach, and so she came. But what she heard that day captured her heart. She was so eager to learn more that when we held another outreach in a neighboring village the following week, she came again.

At the end of the outreach, we invited anyone who needed prayer to pray with us. Aunt K shared that she had been living for years with severe pain in her hands and knees. Because of gout, her fingers had become stiff and permanently outstretched. She could not make a fist as it would cause pain in her finger joints. As a farmer, she did not have the means to visit a doctor or receive regular treatment. She also suffered from chronic knee pain after years of working in the fields, making even simple walks difficult.
We prayed for her in Jesus' name, and as we prayed, something changed.
She began moving her fingers and suddenly realized she could close her hand into a fist for the first time in years. The pain in her knees was gone, and she was able to walk without discomfort. Surprised and overjoyed, she came to me to share what had happened before excitedly, telling Ajarn Lek, the village pastor, about the healing she had just experienced.
From that day on, Aunt K kept coming back.
She began attending worship services, Bible studies, and church gatherings with a heart full of gratitude for what God had done. As the local believers continued to walk with her, patiently answering her questions and teaching her God's Word, her faith in Jesus continued to grow. In time, she decided to follow Christ and was baptized.

Today, Aunt K is no longer just someone who heard the gospel—she is someone who shares it.
Whenever our outreach teams visit, she gladly joins them, helping guide us to villages where people have never heard about Jesus. As our teams shares the gospel, she also tells people how God healed her hands and knees. Her own story has become a testimony of God's power and compassion, opening doors for others to listen to the good news.
The woman who once came to an outreach because of a simple invitation is now helping bring that same invitation to others. She joyfully points people to the Savior who transformed her life, becoming a witness to those who, just like she once was, have never heard the name of Jesus.
The video below shows Aunt K's hand as she demonstrates the healing she experienced after we prayed for her.
