Each month marks a new stage of growth for individuals age 21 - 35, equipping you to live on mission and faithfully answer God’s call wherever He leads. PHASE 01 ### Encounter the Mission Seek God deeply, discover His heart for the nations, and step into the adventure of His calling. "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying: Who should I send? Who will go for us? I said: Here I am. Send me."Isaiah 6:8 PHASE 02 ### Engage the Harvest Serve boldly in the mission field, build life-changing relationships, and share Christ where He is least known. "The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest."Matthew 9:37–38 PHASE 03 ### Advance the Kingdom Grow as a disciple-maker, lead with courage, and multiply the impact of the gospel wherever God sends you. You can start anytime and will be part of a flourishing team that is growing in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We offer 3-month, 6-month, and 1-year commitments and you must be between 21-35 years old. ### Deepen your faith Intentional spiritual growth, learning to hear God's voice, and strengthening your foundation in Christ. ### Hands-on ministry Serve on the front lines of missions, sharing the gospel with unreached people in real time. ### Develop as a leader Mentoring and leadership training that equips you to disciple others and multiply your Kingdom impact. ### Make a global impact Bring the hope of Jesus to places where the gospel has rarely, if ever, been heard. ### Live the Great Commission Answer Jesus' call in Matthew 28 to make disciples of all nations — your role in God's redemptive story. ### Discover your calling God has a unique calling for you in His mission. The program ## What you'll learn Mentorship, hands-on ministry, and targeted learning experiences that equip you to serve effectively and grow in your faith. ### Specific Ministry Placement You will be placed in a specific ministry role that aligns with your unique skills, talents, and interests. This placement will give you the opportunity to grow in your strengths, gain hands-on experience, and contribute meaningfully to the work of WRG while discovering how God can use your gifts to serve others. ### Mentorship & coaching During your program, you will receive one-on-one mentorship and guidance from our experienced staff, who are committed to helping you grow both personally and spiritually. We will walk alongside you, providing practical coaching and encouragement as you learn to develop your skills, recognize your strengths, and use your gifts to their fullest potential. ### Worldview training Expand your tool belt for advancing God's kingdom. Learn about Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, and other worldviews prevalent in Thailand. Learn to bridge the gospel with sensitivity and biblical truth. ### Authentic community At WRG, people from many cultures and backgrounds serve together as part of an authentic community of like-minded believers. This is a place where you will find many people that share your same DNA for pursuing Jesus. ### Prayer & Worship One of the central focuses of WRG is prayer and worship at the Chiang Mai House of Prayer. We believe that missions exists because worship doesn’t, and as such, we seek the Holy Spirit’s leading in everything we do, allowing prayer to guide our mission. How you'll grow ## Expect to be stretched You'll serve alongside long-term missionaries who share your passion for Jesus in a community rooted in faith, encouragement, and commitment. The journey won't always be easy, and you'll be challenged to grow. Individuals can join a pre-scheduled group. **There are no age limitations.** Once accepted, you'll receive a detailed Planning Guide with packing tips, ministry outlines, and fundraising help. All payments are non-refundable donations under US 501(c)(3) non-profit law. Visas to Thailand are free on arrival for 30 days for US citizens. Budget roughly $940 extra for personal items, international insurance, visa fees, program books, and personal spending. We'll help you fundraise — including support from full-time missionaries who've done it for years. Application process ## 8 steps to Chiang Mai #### Submit your application & recommendations The first step is select how long you want to serve. 3-months, 6-months, or 1-year and apply. This starts the process and the WRG staff will guide you through the rest. #### Submit a resume Send in your resume. Thailand is less than 1% Christian making it one of the last remaining gospel dead zones of the world. This is the perfect hub for missions in the heart of the unreached world. Chiang Mai is the ideal launching pad for cross-cultural missions. Chiang Mai, Thailand ## Less than 1% Christian after 200 years of missionary presence. 1.3 million people in Chiang Mai, most of whom live with little to no understanding of the gospel 50% of the world's population is within a three-hour flight of Chiang Mai 90% of Thailand's people have never heard the gospel making it one the most unreached nations in Southeast Asia You have questions ## Everything you need to know How much does the apprenticeship cost? **3-month Apprenticeship: $4,800** **6-month Apprenticeship: $7,650** **12-month Apprenticeship: $12,450** These prices are **estimated costs** and cover your international plane ticket, housing, food, local transportation, WRG fee, and personal spending money. You will raise the funds and be responsible for your own spending on all of the above items. We will coach you along the way how to do it all. Once approved to join the program we will send you a welcome packet that gives a breakdown of the costs. The apprenticeship is a volunteer working program in which the individual provides for their own expenses plus a WRG fee for administrative expenses. You must be 100% fundraised in order to begin the program. \*All payments to WRG for the fees are non-refundable donations under US 501(c)(3) non-profit law. When are the terms? There are 3 options for the apprenticeship. **3-months, 6-months, and 1-year**.  We are flexible with program dates. While we have a minimum commitment of three months, if you have a specific time frame in mind that extends beyond three months, feel free to discuss it with us during the interview stage. We’ll do our best to accommodate your availability. Your program begins once you are ready and have reached 100% of your fundraising goal. Within Reach Global operates year-round, and you’ll be integrated into the team based on your availability and preferred dates.   How do the payment deadlines work? A $500 non-refundable deposit is due upon acceptance (applied toward your total). The rest of the fee for WRG is due before you fly to Thailand. You are required to raise 100% of your program costs before you depart for Thailand. Can you help me fundraise? Yes. Your Acceptance Packet includes fundraising tips and guidelines, and you'll have access to experienced full-time missionaries who have successfully fundraised for years and can offer support and advice. What does a typical day look like? Days begin with personal prayer, devotions, and breakfast. You will be assigned to a specific area of ministry and will report to that team. Most positions are multifaceted allowing you to be involved in more than one area of ministry.  **Types of  ministry:** **Campus Ministry:** Conduct Alpha courses at the Fusion Center among Thai and Chinese students. Organize and run game nights and discipleship meetings in the evenings. Assist with the new church plant happening in the center on the weekend. **Village Ministry:** Work with our experienced missionary team to evangelize in unreached villages outside of town, lead discipleship meetings, advance church planting efforts among hill tribe groups in northern Thailand. **San Kamphaeng:** Help with children and families in weekly activities. Assist with job skill training for Thai families in the San Kamphaeng suburb of Chiang Mai.  **Administrative:** Help the ministry in needed areas according to your talents such as media, design, organization, photography, admin, and more. **Chiang Mai House of Prayer:** Be part of the WRG Chiang Mai House of Prayer. Worship leaders, musicians, and prayer leaders team together to launch prayer initiatives throughout northern Thailand and conduct weekly prayer gatherings. What's expected of me as an apprentice? Apprentices sign a commitment form agreeing to program standards rooted in safety, biblical morality, ministry effectiveness, and cultural sensitivity, along with the Within Reach Global statement of faith. Full details are provided during the application process. Each apprentice is a team player and part of a greater missions movement. Teachability, flexibility, and self-initiative are key to success. Who leads the program? This program is lead by a seasoned staff of WRG. Your program is lead by the department leader in which you are placed. This is where you will get most of your direct mentorship. You will also be assigned a staff leader who will meet with you more one-on-one in regard to your spiritual formation.
