Had Jesus been born in post Mayflower America, there’s no doubt he would have been hosting a turkey party with a group of people that he met on the street. He would have basted that bird to perfection, and carved it up into perfect slices. “White meat or dark?” he would ask as he served up a hefty amount of meat to each ragamuffin visitor.

“C’mon guys!” he would say, kicking his feet up on the sofa. “Let’s watch the game!”
We thought it the perfect timing to take a cue from what Jesus would have done on this fine Thanksgiving Day.

Chinese college students don’t celebrate Thanksgiving. But we always host Thanksgiving parties to share the American culture and Christian values of Thanksgiving. We love to take this opportunity to share the gospel and simply love on them.
Every week we have 150 college students join our English Corners and other student activities. These are platforms for us to grow a deeper relationship with them, and share God’s love.
150 students? We remember not so long ago when there were only a few college kids coming. But God is growing the ministry of Within Reach Global, and we are seeing huge breakthrough!
This Thanksgiving, there were a number of students who came over to our training center and enjoyed turkey for the very first time in their lives!

But turkey is only a tiny element of our Thanksgiving parties.
They are beginning to experience a touch from God, and a testimony of Christian community that they have never seen before.
“Every time I come for dinner at The Hub outreach center, I learn many new life lessons,” one student told us. “I share everything I learn with my mother, and now she wants to believe in Jesus too!”
This is one of multiple testimonies that we are thankful for.
We are so thankful for all that God is doing here in China, and so thankful that we can share it with you.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support for this powerful ministry. We could not do it without you!
Have a happy Thanksgiving Day, enjoy the game, and eat some turkey for us!
