Last Friday, our Thai Outreach team went to Lamphun to meet with several pastors and plan for future outreach opportunities in their area. After the meeting, one of the pastors invited our team to go share the Gospel with this elderly couple. They are farmers who own three large farms— longan, pomelo, and rubber. Farming is their life.

They are both Buddhists but were very open to hearing from us.

We prayed for both of them and their various health troubles. He said that if he gets better, he wants to go to church— he has never been to church in his life.

They are originally from Nakhon Sawan province. The word for heaven in Thai is “sawan,” so Pastor Assanee used that as an opening to share about Heaven. He said, “If you want to go to Nakhon Sawan, you have to know someone to be able to stay. In the same way, if you want to go to Heaven, you have to know Someone there, too— Jesus.”

Join us in praying for this sweet couple— that God would reveal Himself further in their lives and that they would receive Him as their Lord and Savior!
