Our hearts have always been for unreached people groups and young people. The Hub outreach center serves both of these groups in a unique way. As young people and college students flock to China’s cities in hopes of bettering their lives and families, the cities are being flooded with unreached people groups coming to our doorstep. Nearly half of China’s recognized ethnic people groups can be counted among our target student body. The Hub outreach center got kicked off when a visiting team from the Philippines came on a short term mission trip. They helped us gather a large group of college students, garnered interest in language study, and helped us implement our English Corner platform as a means of ministering to broken youth and young professionals. By helping them with their spoken English language skills, we have been able to share the gospel to over 2,000 future leaders of China. The Hub outreach center is a bilingual center where our foreign missionaries are given a chance to thrive in discipleship.
We are zeroed in on sharing the Christian gospel message with college students and young professionals, training and discipling them one on one, and raising up a generation who will take the message of hope to their respective families and villages. The Hub outreach center is set in the heart of a city of over 7 million people, and we are passionate about raising up a new generation of God-fearing Christian leaders who will bring spiritual transformation to the climate of their own nation.
Since its inception in 2009, we have seen over 2,000 college students and young professionals participate in our exciting English Corner outreach. For many of them, it was the first time they had ever been in an environment to hear the message of salvation. We have established a local church that touches the needs of a young demographic. Of the many new Christians that have come from the ministry at The Hub, a handful of graduate college students committed not only their lives to Christ, but have entered full time ministry with Within Reach Global. They are now bringing the gospel message back to their hometowns, villages of unreached peoples and ministering to orphans in the city. Disciples have become disciplers. New Christians have become impassioned witnesses who are reaching people beyond our previous sphere of influence.
We need more harvesters, disciplers and trainers to sow their lives into searching college students. There are openings for young missionaries who want to see fruit remain among their peers. We also have a huge need for matures who can fill the void of godly influence as fathers and mothers to young Christians. The young people and professionals at The Hub outreach center desperately need to see godly lives modeled for them, to understand what healthy relationships look like, and mature believers walk them through the major life decisions they are facing. Every month, we need $1,000 for The Hub outreach center to cover local missionaries’ living expenses, weekly evangelistic dinners, English Corner expenses, and special activities for evangelism and outreaches.
