Do not despise the day of small beginnings, because small things always grow into a harvest when the hands of God touch it.
“We started added new ministry this year,” one of our local missionaries testified. “We are not only reaching out to the students at The Hub, but also to their families as well. Praise the Lord!”
It has been exciting to see the many students at The Hub get rocked with the love of God. Many of them have been invited by student friends in nearby universities. Even more have heard about The Hub online, as our English Corner is rated “the number one English Corner in the city.”
Led by our Filipino missionaries, we have a great time making friends, practicing language skills, and learning about Jesus. Over 250 college students have come through our doors in the last year and a half, and a large number of these have made commitments to the Lord as a result.
In December, twelve more young people got saved as a visiting team shared the gospel with them in our home. That was the beginning of a brand new ministry that is now growing into a harvest of souls.

“I have never been a part of a community like this,” one of the students told us. “I feel like I am with family.”
That’s the thing: they are joining the family of God, getting radically saved and discipled by our Indian, Filipino, American, and Chinese missionaries.
Over Chinese New Year, many of the students invited us to their rural hometowns to enjoy the festivities with their families. We traveled hours into nearby villages, getting to know the families of these new Christian students.
It was exciting to see the hearts of their mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers opening to the love of God as we shared with them. This is a new time, a special time where God is reaching beyond just the students, into the hearts of their relatives.
We are believing for a huge harvest of souls as the young people at The Hub learn more about their new Christian faith, and share the message of salvation with their friends and family.
“We preached to their family for over two hours,” one of our local missionaries told us. “Their response was very open, and they are now asking a lot of questions about Jesus.”
It’s simple really. When we step out in new directions, beyond our ability, God is always there to bless and bring harvest.
“Blessed are the feet of those who bring the good news.”
Please pray for more openness among the families of The Hub students. The story has only just began, and we are looking forward to seeing these precious people groups standing before the throne of God, their names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
