Greetings from Southeast Asia!
The month of December was a difficult time. We were under a lot of pressure and persecution, and truly sensed that we were under attack from the evil one.
First, our car was impounded by the police because of a small accident we were in. We were finally able to recover the vehicle after three weeks. Then our niece in the Philippines was hit with Dengue Fever, and was in a near fatal state. Our local missionaries had been hunted by the police as they planted churches. We got a stomach flu and were hospitalized. Although we recognize that all these things happened because we were busy with our Father’s work, we truly need your prayers.
We have never really began our blog on such a low note! Please forgive us. We just really wanted you to sense the struggle that we experience daily here on the mission field. Without your prayers and support, we would not be able to continue reaching unreached people groups.
Okay, let’s move on to the brighter side of things! In the midst of our struggle for the advancement of the gospel, there are truly amazing and miraculous things happening here in Southeast Asia.

January
- Spoke at churches in America.
- Returned to Southeast Asia.
February
- Hosted Ako Ay Pilipino concert.
- Hosted Local Missionary Convention.
- Ordained our co-worker as apostolic leader.
March
- Hosted night of prayer for the Philippines.
- Gathered The Hub students for outdoor party.
April
- Began special needs kids ministry.
- Invited missionary teams to help at The Hub.
- Hosted Easter party for foreign missionaries.
- Started ministry to Buddhist monks at 26 Tribes.
May
- Held English Camp for 40 students from The Hub.
- Saw miraculous healings at Pilot center.
- Traveled to Philippines for medical procedures.
June
- Returned to Rose Of Sharon orphanage to help special needs kids.
- Preached to and prayed over highest ranking Buddhist monk in 26 Tribes region.
- Hosted training for Christian leaders in state and underground church.
- Hosted Local Missionary Convention.
July
- Within Reach Global intern arrived from America.
- Sent local missionaries to The Edge children’s ministry.
- Helped provide heart surgery for 5 year old girl at The Edge.
August
- Trained the Christian leaders at Bamboo church.
- Helped provide medical care for boy with club feet.
- The Edge children’s ministry began to grow.
September
- Returned to 26 Tribes region with visiting pastor.
- Hosted Christian trainings in the state church and underground church for over 50 people.
- Gave gift and Bible to highest ranking Buddhist monk in the 26 tribes region; prayed for him.
- Police busted the Bamboo churches; persecution was rampant.
- Church split grew a new evangelistic team.
- Returned to the Philippines for another unsuccessful IUI procedure
- Spoke to a group of 40 young professionals in Manila.
- The special needs children ministry started to grow.
October
- Spoke at two prominent universities in the Philippines.
- Began shooting the short film Chaotic Symphony: Quiapo.
- More foreign and local co-workers join Within Reach Global team.
November
- Hosted a Thanksgiving party for students at The Hub.
- My brother came for a visit, traveled to the Great Wall, Forbidden City, and the Terra Cotta Soldiers together.
December
- Hosted another party at our home for The Hub students.
- 12 more students made decisions for Christ.
- Hosted the second English Camp for students at The Hub for over 45 young people.
- Hosted third Local Missionary Convention with underground Christian leaders.
The Future. Again we want to let you know how thankful we are for your prayers and support. Without your outstretched hands, we would not be able to see all these amazing things happen. You are a part of this ministry. As you continue to pray for and support the many ministries of Within Reach Global, may you heart be encouraged and inspired to see what God will do next.
