Wijit: From Monk to Missionary

Wijit was once a Buddhist monk, devoted to seeking truth through tradition, but after he encountered Jesus, everything changed. Today, Wijit and his wife, Poppy, serve as indigenous Karen/Thai missionaries at Within Reach Global. Fluent in Karen, Thai, and English, they reach the unreached by discipling new believers, helping plant churches, serving the poor through compassion ministry, and bringing the gospel to overlooked communities.

Wijit’s journey from monk to missionary is powerful, yet he is not alone. Across Thailand, many local believers are ready to go. They know the language, understand the culture, carry God’s call, and are waiting to be sent. All our current missionaries, including Wijit and Poppy, are fully supported, allowing them to focus entirely on the mission.
