After a series of miraculous events, a college student at The Hub outreach center English Corner program dedicated her life to the Lord. After graduating, she felt God leading her to return to her rural hometown which had just been rocked by a magnitude 6.1 earthquake, killing 367 people. Her heart broke for the neglected orphans and underprivileged children in the region. The Holy Spirit led her to join a local church who had been praying for 2 years for more workers to join their ministry. A partnership was formed, and she is now overseeing a ministry to nearly 150 children every week.

At Orphan Home outreach center, we are focused primarily on meeting the physical and spiritual needs of orphans and underprivileged children from poor families. We pray that through our efforts, many children will be raised up in a godly environment that has previously never been modeled for them. We hope to see whole families and communities come to the knowledge of salvation through the transformed lives of these little children. We also seek to establish a government recognized children’s home that is able to minister holistically to the needs of these children.

Every week, nearly 150 children are being ministered to by our local missionary at Orphan Home outreach center. She has pioneered an evangelistic dance outreach that takes place on public sidewalks. The government has since threatened to halt all ministry activity, but she continues to faithfully follow up and disciple these hungry children by traveling to multiple villages every week. Impact on the community has been felt, and the parents of underprivileged children are now coming to Jesus. Boldness in the face of looming persecution has arisen in our local missionary, and whole communities are meeting Jesus for the very first time.

Our local missionary desperately needs a coworker to join her in ministering to the orphans and underprivileged children at Orphan Home outreach center. The need is great, and we need more harvesters. We need more people who have a heart for children. The pressing need to open a children’s home is of utmost concern. But the local government is not making it easy to accomplish this kind of ministry. Please pray that all arrangements will come into place and that financial provision is provided. While we are seeking to open an official children’s home, we need $1,875 every month ($22,500/year) to continue doing ministry among these precious children. We need $7,500 for setup expenses to establish a secure children’s home.

We’re currently raising money to help the Joannes family get to Pilot outreach center on the China/Vietnam border to officiate the wedding of persecuted Chinese Christians!

The total amount needed is $1,500, including airfare, food, and in-country travel expenses for 3 people: David, Lorna and their daughter.

David and Lorna Joannes are the founders of Within Reach Global, a non-profit Christian organization that is passionate about honoring God by reaching unreached people groups in Southeast Asia with the love of Jesus.

Only a few months ago, Brother Li was beaten up by the police near his hometown. Now everything has changed! He was a very shy man. But today, a certain boldness has arisen within him. He met the girl of his dreams, and now they will be married on December 12, 2015!

The local missionary couple-to-be has asked David Joannes to officiate their wedding. David has officiated the weddings of nearly all their local Chinese missionaries—including a double wedding! The Joannes family will be traveling to the border of China and Vietnam to join the celebration and growth of the Within Reach Global missionary team.

Pilot was the first Within Reach Global outreach center that we established over 10 years ago. Today, we are thrilled to see local indigenous missionaries reaching their own unreached ethnic people group! This is a pivotal moment of grace, growth and glory!

Would you consider supporting the Joannes family as they travel to the China/Vietnam border for this momentous occasion? Your giving will help enhance the overall ministry to the unreached people we are targeting at Pilot outreach center.

We are currently raising money for a ministry vehicle for Within Reach Global local underground Chinese missionaries who are reaching unreached peoples.

We need a ministry vehicle. The cost: $20,000. We are looking at a Chinese brand SUV called Great Wall Haval. It is perfect for both city use as well as off road use on rural mountain roads.

Our local missionary couple, Brother Shi and Sister Li (Chinese don’t share the same last name when they’re married!), are parents of one 3 year old girl and another baby on the way. They have been working with us for nearly a decade, traveling to unreached people groups, evangelizing, discipling, and church planting. Their roles have recently expanded as they thrive as “connectors” within the body of Christ among underground churches in China. When we host underground trainings in China, they are the facilitators and networkers making the trainings happen. They facilitate medical relief efforts for orphan and underprivileged children at The Edge, our Myanmar outreach center. They are also helping us partner with the body of Christ in China to do relief work, specifically in a largely Muslim area that was hit by a massive earthquake last year. Brother Shi and Sister Li are 2 of our most trusted and faithful local missionaries, and key people in the operation of this ministry.

Brother Shi and Sister Li live in a city of over 7 million people, home to The Hub and The Bridge outreach centers at Within Reach Global. But they regularly travel outside the city to the villages of unreached people groups we are targeting. The vehicle will allow them to be more stealthy in traveling into villages where government hostility and persecution of Christianity is rampant. It will also make it easier to connect with underground churches that we are partnering with in the city.

Our target goal is to purchase the vehicle by the end of December.
