Thai Campus Church

Thai Campus Church creates a Christ-centered spiritual home for university students in Chiang Mai, offering worship, discipleship, community, and gospel witness in the heart of one of Thailand’s largest student populations.

We're attempting great things for God. Dream with us!

Give to this project

A launching point for gospel influence across Thailand and beyond.

As students follow Jesus and return to their hometowns, the gospel spreads far beyond the campus.

By reaching students today, the Thai Campus Church helps plant the seeds of gospel influence across Thailand for years to come.

The need

Thousands of students. Few gospel witnesses.

Thousands of university students come to Chiang Mai each year from across Thailand, many from Buddhist backgrounds with little or no understanding of the gospel. While students are often open to spiritual conversations and meaningful community, few have access to a church designed to meet them in this unique season of life.

The idea

A church in the heart of student life

Located near Chiang Mai University and connected to the ministry relationships already formed through the Fusion Center, the campus church serves as a natural next step for students exploring faith. It provides a dedicated space for worship, discipleship, prayer, community, and leadership development in the heart of the campus environment.

Rather than simply hosting events, the vision is to plant a lasting church among Thai university students—one that helps them follow Jesus, grow in biblical community, and carry the gospel back to their families, hometowns, and future spheres of influence throughout Thailand.

The impact

A local church with national reach

The campus church creates an ongoing gospel presence among students who are shaping the future of Thailand. It gives spiritually curious young adults a place to belong, hear the gospel clearly, and begin a journey of discipleship in a relational, student-focused environment.

As students encounter Christ and grow in community, the impact extends far beyond the campus. Many will return to their provinces, professions, and families carrying the message of Jesus with them—turning one local church plant into a strategic investment in the spiritual future of Thailand.

You have questions

Everything you need to know

The campus church is located near one of the largest concentrations of university students in northern Thailand. Chiang Mai draws young adults from across the country during some of the most formative years of their lives, making it a strategic place to share the gospel, build disciples, and invest in future leaders who will influence communities throughout Thailand.

The church is focused primarily on Thai university students in Chiang Mai, especially those connected to Chiang Mai University and nearby campuses. Many come from Buddhist backgrounds and have had little meaningful exposure to the gospel, making this a key opportunity for relational evangelism and discipleship.

The campus church builds on the relationships already formed through the Fusion Center and Red Panda Café, where thousands of students have already engaged through coffee, conversation, language classes, discipleship environments, and community events. The church provides a next step for students who want to explore faith more deeply and grow in Christian community.

The campus church helps extend gospel access to one of Thailand’s least-reached and most influential demographics—young adults in the university system. By making disciples among students and equipping them to carry the gospel into their future relationships, careers, and hometowns, the church becomes a multiplying force for the Kingdom.

The vision is for the campus church to grow into a healthy, locally rooted, self-sustaining church. Through ongoing discipleship, leadership development, and support from related ministry initiatives, the goal is to establish a lasting gospel presence that is led by believers on the ground and sustained for long-term ministry impact.

Yes. Within Reach Global values collaboration and works alongside local churches and ministry partners in Chiang Mai to strengthen gospel witness and discipleship efforts. The campus church is part of a broader ministry ecosystem focused on reaching students, equipping believers, and serving the unreached in Thailand.
