Google it. Many of the students attending English Corner at The Hub have been introduced to the program by simply Googling “English Corners in [our city].” We we are rated “the best English Corner in the city,” which is a powerful ministry tool for reaching young people with the gospel. Yes, they come to practice their English and better their future opportunities, meeting an international crowd and potentially going abroad. But the fact is, our English Corner is rated number one for a reason. Despite control and persecution, we boldly about preaching the gospel to these young people, and for many of them, it is their first time to learn about who Jesus is. An English Corner with an eternal impact. Now that’s an exciting ministry to be involved with.

The Hub student center has been reaching young people since April, 2009, and in just over a year and a half, we have been amazed at the results. Over 250 different students have come through our doors, and heard about God’s love. And support from the foreign community has been amazing as well. We have had people from all over the world attend The Hub, from America, Philippines, India, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Korea, Canada, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, New Zealand, England, Ireland, Russia, Romania and Ghana. When short term teams come for mission trips, The Hub is an ideal place for them to get involved.

Students at The Hub are learning how to give financially to those in need, something they had never done before. just recently a family had a baby two months premature. The situation did not look good, and medical bills were piling up. We challenged the students and young people to give to this family in need, and during one of our English Corners we were able to raise over $100 US Dollars, a big amount for the attendees. Although the family was extremely blessed, soon after the medical procedures, the infant died. A terrible ending for a family in mourning, but the love sent from The Hub was incredible. We are continuing to inspire these young people to rise up and be the future heroes of their nation.

“I have never felt so welcomed before,” the students keep telling us. “The Hub is really a different environment than I have ever experienced before.”

Many of the students have not made decisions for Christ yet, but the love, peace and acceptance they feel is undeniable. Many conversations at The Hub revolve around God, and the students talk as if they are already Christians!

With your prayers and financial support, we see a harvest of young people coming into the kingdom like never before.
